The FIFO organisers have revealed the official FIFO 2014 selection, as well as the composition of the Jury for the 11th festival.
Out of the 115 documentaries received, the pre-selection committee has chosen 14 films in competition and 19 non-competition films. These selected productions are from Australia, New Zealand, New Caledonia, French Polynesia, the Cook Islands, Hawaii, Papua New Guinea as well as from France and the United Kingdom, with cultural, environmental, political, historical, social, as well as sporting or economic issues. Furthermore, the composition of the Jury has also been unveiled, responsible for awarding the FIFO-France Télévisions Grand Prix, as well as 3 special prizes. The organisers were eager to invite certain prominent figures from previous years, including Luc Jacquet (France), director of ‘March of the Penguins’ who was also Chairman of the FIFO Jury in 2011.
