Sunscreen Film Fest appoints Ryan Tarrant as New Co-Executive Director

Local community leader brings experience and leadership to new position. 

 

Community and business leader Ryan Tarrant has been named the Co-Executive Director of the Sunscreen Film Festival. Tarrant will share duties with current Exec. Director Dwight Cenac II.  Tarrant has been a part of the Film Festival’s Board of Directors for the past two years.
 
“It’s been great working with Ryan and I’m thrilled to be working even more closely with him as the festival continues to grow.  Running a non-profit is a big commitment.  The more talented people you can have involved the better the event and the organization can be.” stated Cenac.
 
“Ryan brings exceptional talent and leadership ability to the organization. His community relationships and work around St. Pete and the Bay area speak for themselves” commented Festival Founder Tony Armer.
 
Tarrant is a US Navy Veteran, he was awarded the Navy Achievement Medal for professional achievement in the superior performance of his duties during Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Liberation.
 
Currently he is the Director of Sales at the Courtyard by Marriott St. Petersburg Downtown.  He is the owner of Cinema Squatch, Cinematic Event Company.
 
Ryan was named the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce Chamber Member of the Year in 2016. He is actively involved with the Leadership St. Pete Planning Committee, Downtown Business Association and St. Pete Young Professionals.  He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Marriott Tampa Bay Business Council, Sunscreen Film Festival and Pinellas County Gator Club.
 
Ryan holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Florida where he majored in Marketing with a minor in Leadership.
